Painswick Football Club welcomes you to our brand new website. Due to our rapid uprising we feel it is necessary to make sure our website is up to date for the players, staff and also any new players who would like to join.

Painswick football club offer a friendly, family and social way of playing football. Although we are a very competitive club, we also strive for the social side to be just as good. Visits to the local pub after games and weekends away are all part of what makes us a strong club and teams.

In the year of 2020 we took part in local production. We were asked to stay until dark and perform infront of the cameras. See here the film.

Painswick football club play in the Stroud District leagues with teams in the division 2, division 5 and division 6.

Founded in 2008 by Tom and Howard Davis(father and son) with just an under 12’s team we now have 3 full adult teams all competing to achieve success. Our reserve team are only a few years old and the introduction of a third team was needed as we have an influx of players.

We have two players who have been with us since the start Tom Davis and Jordan Hutchinson who are coming up on 10 years in the adults team.

Although we are located in Painswick we have multiple pitches we use. We have pitches in Gloucester itself and also up in Painswick in the village.

FAMILY: Having a big squad and 3 teams to go with it we make sure that we all look after and care for each other. Everyone in this club takes time and wants to help improve each others footballing skills.

Friendly: Within our big squad of players we have groups of mates who go out together and have known each other for years. Having this in our club means we play better and the chemistry on the pitch is superb. Each group of mates intermingles with other groups and it creates a great atmosphere.

Social: We thrive on the social side of the game. After every match we go to the local for a pint and talk about the game along with what’s going on in our lives. We often have days out or events to go to as well as tours or social weekends including camping.
